Attending MechanEx in London

Garage technicians visiting the MechanEx Show at Alexandra Palace, London, will have the opportunity of showing off their spark plug changing skills.

NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd – the leading supplier of original equipment (OE) spark plugs, glow plugs and NTK sensors – will feature the NGK Quick Change at the event on March 24 & 25 with the winner receiving an NGK jacket and prizes for the second and third placed participants.

The ignition specialist continues to set the pace 40 years after being incorporated as a UK subsidiary company of Japan and will display its new range of NTK exhaust gas temperature sensors (EGTS) and its expanded ignition coils range.

Marko Wowczyna, Automotive Director, NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd, said: “We are looking forward to exhibiting at MechanEx and informing our current – and potential new customers – about our products and new initiatives in this our 40th UK anniversary year. Our staff will also be on hand to help deal with any visitors’ technical queries.”

EGTS are thermistor devices that monitor the exhaust gas temperatures to enable the efficient operation and protection of vital components, including turbo chargers, located directly in the flow of those hot gases.

The NTK EGTS are OE in approximately 35 percent of global passenger car sensor applications and are a popular choice for vehicle manufacturers as they provide extreme resilience against heat and vibrations have high measuring accuracy, fast light-off times and an exceptionally wide measuring range.

The company’s recently expanded the ignition coils range, which it successfully introduced to the UK in 2013, now comprises 341 ignition coils, thus offering a part for a high percentage of the UK car parc.
