Will Demonstrate Leading Remanufacturing Position
TRW Automotive Aftermarket will highlight its position as a leading remanufacturer of matching OE quality automotive parts and systems at ReMaTec 2015. The business will announce exciting product and technology developments, including additions in 2015 to its heavy commercial vehicle (HCV) portfolio for remanufactured calipers and steering boxes.
An impressive 96 m² stand will illustrate TRW’s complete remanufacturing solution; from stringent core acceptance guidelines through to its logistical capabilities and warranties which match those for new products. It will also highlight the capabilities of its remanufacturing centres of excellence in Frydlant, Czech Republic and Wrexham, UK.
Ben Smart, TRW’s marketing services manager, global Parts & Service explained: “The remanufacture of automotive parts is a growing global business. It reduces cost, waste and CO2 emissions and is often the only aftermarket alternative for older vehicles.
“Advances in technology increasingly widen the scope of components and systems suitable for remanufacture, such as the industry shift towards mechatronic components (mechanical, electrical and electronic hybrids).
“By offering remanufactured products TRW provides a vital service and creates sustainability.”
TRW has invested heavily in its remanufacturing facilities in recent years. Central to its portfolio, remanufactured products are fully integrated within product ranges and include complete remanufactured systems as well as more traditional parts.
ReMaTec is Europe’s biggest remanufacturing trade show and will take place at the RAI in Amsterdam on 14-16 June. Supported by leading bodies: APRA, Automotive Parts Rebuilders Association and FIRM, International Association of Engine Rebuilders and Remanufacturers, the show will host 187 exhibitors and is expected to attract thousands of visitors.
“ReMaTec is the most important exhibition of its kind for TRW. It offers the opportunity to learn of important developments and demonstrate TRW’s capabilities as an important player in the Reman Market.” Ben concluded.
