Gates and FPS are pleased to announce the launch of their HGV offering branded as Extra Service.

 The Extra Service range covers the seven major HGV manufacturers in the European truck market (DAF, Iveco, MAN, Mercedes-Benz, Renault, Scania and Volvo) with market leading coverage.The range consists of Micro-V® Belts & Kits, V-Belts and DriveAlign® Tensioners.

This represents a complete accessory belt drive system (ABDS) solution available from FPS and offers a genuine stockist opportunity for HGV customers, where currently factors have to cherry pick from ranges based on application coverage.


Gates OE market share is 20%, with aftermarket sales at 1%. Couple this with the current trend by truck and fleet owners to implement stricter cost controls and move away from the previously dominant OE maintenance contracts; this represents a significant sales opportunity for Gates and the HGV aftermarket as a whole.
