NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd has appointed a new Marketing Manager

Mark Hallam joins the company after three-and-a-half years at Terinex Ltd, a catering consumables manufacturer, where he held a similar role.

And it marks a return to the UK automotive industry for the 43-year-old who has previously worked for companies that include Fiat, General Motors, Chevrolet and Daimler-Chrysler.

He said: “I am really pleased to be back in the automotive parts business. NGK is an incredible brand with fantastic products. It is a brand that I knew well from my previous roles in the automotive industry and is one that enjoys a great reputation for the quality of its parts and its professionalism and I can’t wait to work with the team and get to know our customers.”

Mark has a wealth of experience of the UK automotive parts industry, having worked in the sector since first joining GH Creative in Luton to work on the Vauxhall Trade Club Programme. He subsequently joined Daimler-Chrysler as Marketing Executive – Aftersales working for the Chrysler and Jeep brands before taking on the roles of Aftersales Marketing Manager for Chevrolet and then Accessories Marketing Manager for General Motors. His last automotive position was with Fiat at Slough where he was Aftersales Commercial Product Manager.

Married to Anne with two children, Patsy (11) and Ryan (7), outside of work Mark enjoys Rugby Union, supporting Bedford Blues, going to the Gym and exercising his 10-month-old black Labrador Rocky.

NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd continues to set the pace 40 years after being incorporated as a UK subsidiary company of Japan and recently introduced a new range of NTK exhaust gas temperature sensors (EGTS) and expanded its ignition coils range.
