Cambiare Portfolio expanded

Cambiare has increased its vehicle electronics product offering with the addition of 120 parts, comprising of:

• 80 x ABS Sensors • 10 x Brake Light Switches
• 10 x Clutch Control Switches • 10 x Reverse Light Switches
• 7 x Oil Pressure Switches • 2 x Idle Control Valves
• 1 x Door Light Switch

The range extension covers more than 6.9 million vehicles on the UK roads and provides a wider business opportunity for the customers. Switches and sensors control an array of features within vehicles, many of which are warning signals and thus require a quality replacement like Cambiare.

New BGA Timing Chain Kit
BGA has introduced a new timing chain kit – part number TC0110K – that fits Audi, Seat, Skoda and Volkswagen 2.0 Petrol engines.

The OE chain on these engines is known to jump several teeth at around 40,000 miles, damaging it and the tensioner, when the water pump seizes. Unless the chain and tensioner are replaced, timing the camshafts back up at top dead centre becomes very difficult and the car will struggle at low revs and in reverse. The OE tensioner is also known to fail if service intervals are not followed as dirty oil can block the oil ways and prevent the tensioner working correctly. This can also lead to the engine losing timing.

Nissens HGV Radiators – NTR

FPS has launched a range of Nissens radiators into its HGV range that covers leading applications, including Scania, Mercedes, DAF, Volvo and Iveco. The parts are all catalogued on the F:Drive and can be found using the HGV vehicle lookup search function.

OE numbers are also uploaded as cross-references to aid parts selection. The products are available next day and with the exception of part numbers 62341A and 625502, are all over 24kg – so are classified as requiring a 2 man lift.


Remy Rotating Electrics Stock Enhanced

FPS has increased its stock holding from Remy, the world leading supplier of Rotating Electrics. Remy has introduced an additional 75 parts to its range, compiled of 63 Light Duty (13 starter motors & 50 alternators) and 12 Heavy Duty (4 starter motors & 8 alternators) parts.

Highlights include:

• DRA1313 – Alternator for Peugeot 206 1.4 (09/1998>)
• DRA1148 – Alternator for Vauxhall Astra 1.6 (02/2005-11/2010)
• DRA1154 – Alternator for Mini Mini Cooper 1.6 (10/2006>)

Bilstein B4 for Premium Models

Bilstein offers shock absorbers and air springs via FPS for many Mercedes, Jaguar and Porsche models that are considered to be ‘dealer only’. No other aftermarket manufacturer provides these products. All Bilstein parts match dealer-fit OEM items, so can be sold with confidence as the ideal solution for cars with failed original units.

FPS has also invested heavily in all popular Bilstein air springs and mono-tube shock absorbers for these applications, ensuring same/next day availability.

TRW D-Tec Pads Range Extended

FPS has added 45 new references from TRW’s premium range of D-Tec brake pads. This is in addition to the 66 pads launched in 2014. D-Tec uses a specially formulated ceramic that ensures 45% less brake pad dust compared to standard brake pad materials, without compromising on performance.

Interior Blowers – NTR
30 new-to-range interior blowers across Hella, Nissens, DENSO, Valeo and Febi have been added to the FPS range of Engine Cooling.

Unique & Niche

Unique & Niche is now 360o

The FPS Unique & Niche Project is growing rapidly and a dedicated platform - 360° - has been introduced to take the initiative further. The 360° identity will now appear on all communications moving forward and a dedicated email address - [email protected] – has been set up for customers to feedback on parts not currently in our portfolio.

The 360° initiative continues to add more parts within application gaps, niche products and emerging technology such as:

Clutch Control Switches: An established product group for FPS, commonly requested in the aftermarket. FPS has recently introduced Part no. SE00002.3 for Audi A3 1.6 TDi (2009-2013) to fill an application gap within the range.

Oil dipsticks and funnels: These fragile parts need regular checking and replacement. FPS now stocks Part no. V10-0410 (funnel) and V10-9721 (oil dipstick) for Audi A4 (1995- 2001) and Audi A4 (2001-2004) respectively.
