NTR Additions

To ensure UAN members have the products at their disposal to allow them to cater for the needs of their workshop customers, Dayco naturally has an on-going range development strategy.

Recent new-to-range (NTR) additions include seven timing belt kits (KTB), three combined water pump and timing belt kits (KTBWP), three auxiliary tensioners (APV), an auxiliary idler and a Poly-V auxiliary belt.

Three of these new timing kits cater for various guises of the 1.4-litre diesel engine used for several popular Ford, Peugeot and Citroën models. These kits, along with KTB874 for selected 2.7-litre PSA applications, include a Dayco HT or ‘white’ timing belt, which allows workshops installing the kit to offer their customers the Dayco Long Life + 1year, three-year warranty package.

Other notable additions include timing belt kit KTB890 for the Ford Transit 2.4-litre diesel and auxiliary belt 6PK1685 for the 2.2-litre diesel variant.

Website Strategy

Alongside its on-going commitment to product development and range extension, Dayco continues to invest in the internal infrastructure necessary to ensure that as one of the world’s leading power transmission manufacturers, it is also providing its customers with the comprehensive support they need to grow their businesses.

In the current, super-fast Internet era, one of the most important elements within its infrastructure is the company’s website strategy, as it is via this platform that many customers and potential customers interact with the business.

As a result, Dayco has launched its next-generation website strategy, which means that all Dayco websites, including the Intranet, catalogues, supplier sites and corporate site, Dayco.com, have been completely redesigned with a modern, consistent design that represents the strength of the global Dayco brand.

“Our web presence continues to be one of the most important means of communicating our marketing plans, promoting Dayco’s values and our corporate image, while developing a robust business strategy for target markets,” said chief executive officer (CEO), John Bohenick.

“With the launch of our new websites, Dayco now operates an online strategy that is better aligned with our overall business development objectives. We will continue to invest in our global website strategy to ensure we’re efficiently delivering the information our customers need. Our redesigned web presence only reiterates our drive to innovate and serve our global customer base.”

Technical TV

Another very important function of the website is to provide the platform from which the trade can access the company’s many technical resources. One of the most popular resources in this portfolio is the Dayco TV video content, which in addition to containing several features looking at the corporate structure and quality control standards inherent in all Dayco products, also contains technical data and specific installation instructions.

The increasing number of technical videos featured on the site demonstrates their growing popularity and as each is chosen to enable technicians tasked with undertaking the job to facilitate a complete and first-rate repair, they are becoming a vital source of information for more and more workshops.

Among the latest new videos to join the library are the Alfa Romeo MiTo 1.4-litre petrol and the Land Rover Freelander 2 TD4. However, to ensure the message filters through to as much of the trade as is possible, Dayco also publishes these installation procedures in the form of step-by-step guides in several of the country’s independent trade magazines.
