Fundraising for the Children's Hospice, Ty Hafan
As most of you may be aware, Fast Parts Wales are an active fundraiser for the Children’s Hospice, Ty Hafan, based in Sully, South Wales, and their team, suppliers and customers have raised over £6000 to date.
In 2016, they want to go a step further and have an organised event to raise even more money. The event they are proposing is the Rainbow Rally in which people will have a budget of £300 to purchase a car, drive from our branch at Abercarn, stop at designated check points, and undergo certain challenges along the way. The rainbow theme is because Ty Hafan currently holds an annual rainbow run in which powder paint is thrown at the participants, making it a fun time for the children. To continue this theme, it is a requirement that all of their rally cars are to be painted in rainbow colours.
The Fast Parts Wales, Ty Hafan, Rainbow Family Rally will take place from 1 to 2 May and they are looking to raise £11,000. If successful, it will become an annual event. They are hoping to get 20 cars involved with a £100 entry fee so that would be £2000 as a kick start but obviously way off the £11,000 target that they have set.
For all those who donate, they would also like stickers from you to put on the cars as at the end of the race they will be having a group photo at the hospice that will be sent to local and national press.
Fast Parts are also looking for one supplier to offer the catering at a stop point on the Sunday. If you have a company branded van and would like to donate your time, sandwiches and drinks for the participants, they would be extremely grateful.

Tŷ Hafan offers comfort, care and support to life-limited children, young people and their families, helping them make the most of the time they have left together. The charity needs over £4million every year to provide this unique service free of charge to families in Wales, and it receives less than 5% contribution from the local government. £11,000 is a big target but that is the figure required to keep the Hospice open for just ONE day!
