Derbyshire-based DJ Ball Haulage is the latest truck operator to fit Corteco’s Radial Shaft Seal Cassettes to vehicle hubs on its haulage fleet.

DJ Ball Haulage runs a fleet of 12 vehicles and 20 trailers. Its customers include blue chip clients that operate quarries, manufacture vehicles used in construction and agricultural environments, or supply materials to the construction industry.

Vehicle reliability is essential, so component selection is a critical part of managing the maintenance operation:

“You can’t afford to compromise the reliability of the fleet so you use components that you can depend upon,” he says. “You know the OE parts will do the job and you also know that you have to pay more for them. There might be cheaper parts out there that will fit the truck, but you’re going to need to know a lot more about them before you risk installing them.”
