Tenneco supplies Japanese and Korean OEMs from 15 manufacturing facilities in Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, the Czech Republic, India, Mexico, Poland, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Thailand and the United States of America.
The company recently expanded its technical centre in Japan to support Japanese OEMs with advanced engineering and testing capabilities in both light vehicle emission control and suspension, in addition to ride tuning capabilities. Ride engineers at Tenneco Japan collaborate with OE vehicle dynamics engineers to create suspension systems optimized for each brand and model’s ride, handling and comfort characteristics.
Tenneco OE and aftermarket products are largely designed, engineered, manufactured and tested in the same facilities using the same best practices, processes and talented resources and in line with the performance, durability, quality and advanced technology requirements of international car manufacturers.
Japenese/Korean Coverage
Monroe® offers the largest aftermarket coverage available for Japanese and Korean cars in Europe today. Coverage is set to increase as Tenneco continues to leverage its global expertise and manufacturing footprint to rapidly introduce new parts.
Infiniti Integreates Monroe Intelligent Suspension in its 2016 Q50 and Q60 Models
Infiniti is the first Japanese luxury brand to choose Tenneco’s advanced original equipment (OE) suspension technology for its 2016 Q50 sedan and all-new Q60 coupe.
CVSAe, part of the Monroe® Intelligent Suspension portfolio, adjusts to changing road conditions in real time. It continuously senses the road and driving conditions and adjusts the suspension within milliseconds, offering enhanced ride comfort with outstanding dynamic response.
CVSAe dampers are part of the Infiniti brand’s Dynamic Digital Suspension system (DSS). The Infiniti DSS system gives drivers the option of adjusting the feel and handling of their ride by selecting comfort, sport or sport plus driving modes.
Tenneco has produced more than 6 million semi-active CVSAe dampers in Europe since the technology was launched in 2002. Technologies in the Monroe® Intelligent Suspension portfolio are present on more than 40 vehicles from ten international car brands.
2016 Lexus RX Luxury Crossover Carries Tenneco Emission Control System
Tenneco is supplying OE advanced hot- and cold-end components for the next-generation Lexus RX. The vehicle’s emission control system uses Tenneco underbody converters and features innovative laser-welded mufflers which help reduce weight and enable improved vehicle packaging.
Product engineering and development was conducted by Tenneco North America working closely with Toyota engineering in Japan.
