Wendy Williamson features in top 100 British women in the car industry

The IAAF Chief Executive Wendy Williamson was a runner-up in the Executive category of the recent Autocar/SMMT top 100 British women in the car industry, which seeks to celebrate the role of women in the industry and to address the challenges they face.  The list has been published on the Autocar website.

A judging day was held jointly by Autocar with the SMMT, with exceptional work being showcased in a series of categories.  Winners were then announced for each category together with the list of runners-up.

Citroen's Global CEO, Linda Jackson, was named as the Executive category winner and also the overall winner.

Autocar have said that they hope, by highlighting the achievements of great British women who are making an impact on the global automotive industry, that they can stimulate an interest in what is an exciting and rewarding career.  The judging panel included experts from Autocar's editorial department, as well as SMMT Chief Executive Mike Hawes and Director of Communications and International Tamzen Isacsson.  The Autocar Great British Women in the Car Industry initiative is in partnership with SMMT and is sponsored by Direct Line Group, Ford and Jaguar Land Rover and is supported by Gaia Innovation and KPMG.
