To celebrate their 80th Anniversary

Ignition specialist NGK will celebrate its 80th anniversary at next month’s Automechanika Show in Frankfurt, Germany.

The company will demonstrate its position as the leading automotive ignition and sensor specialist by showcasing a selection of new products at the exhibition on September 13-17, 2016.

As in previous years, the company will be located in Hall 3 on stand B51 where it will present multiple range extensions, as well as a completely new product line for the automotive aftermarket.

Marko Wowczyna, Automotive Director, NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd, said: “Automechanika attracts many visitors from the UK who are keen to learn about the latest products and innovations that are impacting on the automotive aftermarket. We will announce some exciting new initiatives at the show and look forward to discussing them with distributor and workshop visitors.“

NGK is renowned for supplying original equipment (OE) spark plugs, glow plugs and NTK Lambda and other engine management sensors to the independent automotive aftermarket as well as supplying a comprehensive range of ignition coils.

At Automechanika, the company will provide information about the recent expansion of its European Technical Service offered to aftermarket customers and will also feature the first public appearance of the new brand design for the NGK and NTK brands.

NGK will also participate in the ‘Mechanic Games’ which is aimed at visitors from the workshop sector, and will be held on September 16 and 17 in the outdoor exhibition area Agora, the central area between Halls 3 and 4, where participants will compete in a variety of disciplines with the winning male, female and team each playing for a €250 prize.

The Mechanic Games is an initiative from Messe Frankfurt and the Association of the Independent Parts Market (Verein Freier Ersatzteilemarkt e.V. – VREI) and its members. As one of the founding members of VREI, NGK will be supervising and organising one of the 10 events.
