WILL IMPRESSES DURING MCLAREN F1 DRIVE

As the jewel in the crown of his prize for winning the 2015 McLaren ‘Autosport’ BRDC Award, Comma-sponsored Will Palmer successfully completed his run in a McLaren Formula 1 car at the Silverstone circuit on Tuesday October 25th.

Coming just three days off the back of his maiden Formula Renault Eurocup victory at Estoril, Portugal, 19 year old Will, declared it an experience that he will remember for the rest of his life.

Driving Jenson Button's 2011 Canadian Grand Prix-winning McLaren MP4-26, Will completed a trio of five-lap runs on Silverstone’s legendary Grand Prix circuit, impressing McLaren’s simulator test engineer, Alice Rowlands.

Will is aiming to emulate his elder brother Jolyon, who was also sponsored by Comma in FIA Formula 2 and the GP2 series as he rose to Grand Prix status with the Renault Sport Formula 1 team.

In addition to sponsoring Will throughout his four year racing career to date, Comma’s motorsport programmes include technical partnerships with the BRDC British Formula 3 championship and the world renowned ‘PalmerSport’ corporate driving experience at the Bedford Autodrome.
