Team up with Corteco
TTC have teamed up with leading hub seal brand, Corteco to ensure it can satisfy much of its customers’ requirements on Original Equipment (OE) quality wheel hub maintenance. Corteco’s most popular hub seal applications are now all available through UAN distributors.
Based in Oxfordshire, TTC is a leading CV aftermarket parts supplier and the first choice for commercial vehicle products and supply chain services. Its range of over 25,000 part numbers covers light commercials, trucks, trailers, buses and coaches as well as specialist vehicle applications. Corteco is the aftermarket distribution arm of Freudenberg, which is one of the world’s largest designers and manufacturers of automotive sealing solutions for OE systems suppliers.
As an example, quarry vehicles that operate around the clock are exposed to greater amounts of dust, moisture and general physical debris than vehicles on the roads.
As a result, when OE manufacturers were looking for a sealing solution that could ensure vehicle reliability, cope with the circumferential speeds involved and provide greater resistance to the conditions that generate heavy soiling and contamination, Freudenberg engineers designed the hub seal cassette to match their requirements.
Freudenberg’s cassette seal design delivers the protection that helps increase vehicle reliability. It has since been adapted for use in many commercial vehicles and trailers as well as on many bus fleet applications, says Corteco.
TTC says, through its national network of distributors, it is providing its workshop customers in general and fleet engineers in particular, with opportunities to access Freudenberg’s OE sealing technology at aftermarket prices.
“The Corteco brand is a perfect fit for our range and will be popular with workshops where there are mixed fleets to maintain but only one OE quality standard to deliver,” adds Glen Crompton, Head of Marketing and Customer Service at TTC.
