During the combustion of diesel fuels, soot particles are formed and pass into the lubricating oil. Modern oils containing additives hold these particles in suspension in order to prevent sludge deposits in the engine.

The consequence: more and more wear-inducing particles thicken the engine oil. The solution lies in a process in which part of the lubricating oil is diverted and finely filtered separately by a secondary flow centrifuge.

The MANN-FILTER centrifuge is able to filter even the smallest soot particles out of the oil and thus enhance main flow oil filter performance.

Traditionally when cleaning centrifuge rotors a complete service kit has to be purchased. However, designed for Scania truck and industrial engines, the new MANN-FILTER ZR 12 001 z contains only the OE specification replacement paper liner and O rings, enabling quick and easy servicing of the centrifuge rotor.
