Discusses popular part
Just over 12 months ago, Cambiare introduced its first ever Brake Light Sensor - VE724264. This sensor replaces the traditional pedal box brake light switch as a safeguard built into many modern cars and motorcycles. Since its successful introduction, VE724264 continues to sell very well with sales forecasts indicating that demand will increase over the coming years as more vehicles come into service life.
The brake light sensor sits on the underside of the brake master cylinder and their primary use is to activate the rear brake lights when the brake pedal is depressed. With the brake pedal depressed, the electrical contact is closed by a hall effect sensor element, so the electrical circuit can be made. When the brake pedal is not depressed, the contact is open and the circuit cannot be completed. In some applications the brake light sensor also activates the brake light on the cluster when there is an issue with fluid pressure in the master cylinder.
VE724264 fits over 2.1 million vehicles, covering a variety of popular VAG applications. It is listed on both the F:Drive and MAM Autocat+ and is backed up by FPS’ stocking and same/next-day delivery support - in turn this part provides engine management stockists with an excellent proposition to grow sales.
