After a highly successful and closely fought competition in 2016, Ring is once again supporting the event, which seeks to recognise and reward the best vehicle technicians in the UK. The annual competition was created in 2002 by Aftermarket Magazine to give the mechanics that work to the best possible standards the chance to showcase their skills. The Ring teams knows that top mechanics are committed to raising standards and to delivering the best possible service, which they believe should be supported and endorsed. Sponsoring Top Technician is just one way Ring aims to do so.

Entries for Top Technician are now open and technicians hoping to take part in 2017 can go online to complete the first round entry quiz. The quiz is made up of 30 multiple choice questions and has a time limit of an hour, although this should easily be achievable. Entrants will receive the full answers list after the competition closes on March 13th, 2017. Those with a high score will then be invited to take the next stage of the Top Technician.

The semi-finals and finals taking place later this year will made up of a series of hands-on challenges in which the participants will be ably assisted by Ring inspection tools and workshop equipment. The technicians will be judged and marked on their practical ability to identify faults and solve problems.
