Classic Battery Range

Bosch has added vintage/classic car batteries to its automotive battery portfolio - this includes 10 part numbers covering 6 volt and 12 volt vintage and classic applications, ranging from the 1930s to the 1970s.

The job of a battery is to store electricity and discharge it when needed. While driving, the battery is charged by the alternator, at a stop, the battery supplies electrical consumers such as the starter and radio with energy.

Battery housings used to be made primarily of hard rubber until the 1950s, followed by plastic (PS). Batteries with a plastic housing show less gas emitting and have a better starting power. In addition, almost all of the batteries can be recycled.

The new battery will be shipped preloaded but without battery acid. The battery acid must be purchased separately.
