Clutch Part 826362

The Valeo technical department have received several claims stating that after fitment of the clutch kit 826362 for the Skoda Fabia 1.2i 2004>2007, there is a creaking noise coming from the gearbox when the clutch is disengaged.

After investigating the issue Valeo technicians have identified that the clutch kit itself is not at fault. The actual cause is due to a faulty contact between the clutch release bearing and the release arm. In particular the ball pin is worn.

To fix the issue it is advised the following steps are completed:

  • Check the release arm for wear and replace if necessary  
  • Renew the ball bin on the release arm. Valeo advise this is replaced on each clutch change
  • Apply grease to the contact point of the clutch release arm
