Celebrates its first year of trading

CV Logix parts distribution centre celebrates its first anniversary on Tuesday 20th March 2018. When CV Logix set out, the prime ambition was, and still is, to give G-Truck and UAN TRUCK members an advantage in the market, through more efficient and cost-effective access to a huge range of quality CV parts, lubricants and consumables.

With 12 months under their belt, CV Logix has more than fulfilled that ambition. The purpose-built 45,000 sq ft facility, located near Bradford in West Yorkshire, gives members access to suppliers and products that, due to distribution agreements, they may not previously have been able to offer. It provides next day delivery anywhere in the UK and Ireland, alongside significant cost savings.

G-Truck and UAN TRUCK members have taken full advantage of the efficiencies offered by CV Logix, with impressive results.

In the past year, members have not only saved by purchasing through CV Logix, rather than going direct to manufacturers, but are also able to purchase a mixed basket of products that will arrive next day. Over 85% group (G-Truck and UAN TRUCK) members are utilising the distribution centre to purchased parts and supplies, benefitting from the facility’s bulk buy savings. Blue chip manufacturers like MANN-FILTER, Meritor, Haldex, TMD, TruckTEC, Valeo, LuK and Bosch (to name just a few) are all stocked by CV Logix.

Phil Dodd, CV manager for Alliance Automotive UK Trading Groups, said: “Buying quality parts through CV Logix is allowing our parts distributors to be more competitive in the market by passing on these savings to customers. The first year has surpassed expectations in terms of the amount of business members have been doing with CV Logix, evidence of the very real benefits the facility offers.”

Response from G-Truck and UAN TRUCK members since the facility’s launch has been uniformly positive. The feedback has focused on the improved availability of parts, competitive pricing and the facility’s ‘open box’ policy, meaning buying from CV Logix requires no minimum order size or value and members benefit from reducing inventory.

CV Logix already stocks over 8,000 CV products with access to tens of thousands more, but isn’t resting on its laurels. Phil says, “Managers at the centre follow a programme of continuous improvement. We will continue to grow our portfolio, filling the gaps and allowing us to be a better all-round parts distribution centre for our distributors,” he adds. “At the same time, we will continue to push efficiencies in the way we work. The aim is simply to be the very best CV parts facility in the UK, helping our members improve profit margins and grow their own businesses.”
