Lucas Oil Supports Beaulieu's London to Brighton Challenger

A 22 Hp 1903 Daimler will lead the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu's challenge on the Bonhams London to Brighton Veteran Car Run, supported by Hiscox, this weekend.

Entrants will set out for Brighton from Hyde Park, London, on Sunday 4 November 2018.

The National Motor Museum’s collection of cars and motorcycles is conservatively valued at over £70 million. Keeping the vintage Beaulieu fleet in prime condition involves a lot of care and attention.

The museum is grateful for the support from motor industry suppliers and Lucas Oil is just one of many. Two of the US lubricant manufacturer’s additives will be playing vital roles in protecting the Daimler’s valuable engine components throughout the 54 miles (87kms) journey.

Unused, the octane level of fuel falls sharply and very quickly. For owners of cars that run infrequently, it’s an expensive worry. Fuel Stabilizer ensures a reliable start. The ethanol added to modern fuels adds a further concern. It can destroy rubber seals and hoses found in older cars very quickly. Safeguard Ethanol Fuel Conditioner provides the protection. Meanwhile, the drive chain will be lubricated all along the way with Lucas Oil’s Chain Lube.

Beaulieu expects to run three cars in this year’s event. The identities of the other two cars will be revealed soon.
