Fisher joins First Line

First Line is pleased to announce the appointment of Terry Fisher as General Sales Manager.



Terry is a well known and highly respected figure in the UK aftermarket, thanks to his 22 years service at multi-product rivals Quinton Hazell, and the vast amount of knowledge and experience he has gained during this time will begin to be applied to the First Line cause in April.

New diagnostic tool from Sealey

The new ‘VST’ from Sealey is an extremely powerful hand-held service and diagnostic tool providing coverage of over 30 vehicle manufacturers at OE level plus EOBD.



This invaluable piece of kit is capable of reading and clearing all engine DTCs on all EOBD compliant vehicles plus reading and resetting the supported vehicle monitors giving concise definitions, including ABS and air-bag.

Scrappage scheme ends

The government's scrappage scheme, which has taken more than 400,000 vehicles viable for service and repair out of the market, has ended.

The scheme was designed to deliver a boost to the motor industry, offering a £2,000 grant to scrap an old car in exchange for a new one.



Lord Mandelson, Business Secretary said: “The scheme was always time limited and as it closes I am pleased to see scrappage has delivered the results we aimed for – not just for manufacturers, but for the whole industry and its supply chain. Read More..

NGK sparks McLaren in F1 2010

NGK Spark Plugs has announced that it is to be the technical partner and official supplier of spark plugs to the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Formula 1 Racing Team in the 2010 season. As well as Vodafone McLaren Mercedes almost all the leading contenders for this season’s FIA Formula 1 World Championship will also be sparked by NGK.



The launch event to unveil the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes 2010 Formula 1 season car was a spectacular occasion with the team’s joint-world champion driver line-up of both McLaren’s British drivers, Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton present; marking the first time in Formula 1 history that the sport’s two most recent world champions have been partnered together.
