Morgan confident and ready for BTCC Round 5 at Croft

Adam Morgan is fully aware that he needs good consistent point’s finishes in all three races at Croft Race Circuit, North Yorkshire which hosts round 5 of the British Touring Car Championship. After a very difficult weekend at Oulton Park 3 weeks ago, during which he scored no points for the first time this season, Adam finds himself joint 14th in the Drivers’ Championship, 11th in the Independent and WIX Racing joint 5th in the Independent Teams Standings.

“We made things really difficult for ourselves at the last round. I was really disappointed with the weekend following our brilliant start to the season” said Adam “We set a team goal of finishing in the top ten with the new WIX Racing Mercedes A Class, a massive ask in our first season with the new car, but things were and are moving along nicely. I love Croft it’s fast and technical. I am going all out for a top result” Adam continued “We want to be back in the top ten, the summer break begins after this round and momentum is everything. I took my first ever win at Croft and I am confident of a positive weekend for me and the WIX Racing team”

Norman Burgess Commercial and Marketing Manager “Oulton Park was tricky and we were reminded that we are part of what is considered to be one of the most competitive race car series in the world, there is a great buzz around the team we can’t wait for Croft. The Teams engineers and mechanics have been working none stop on the car and Adam is primed and ready for a good result”.
All three of Sunday’s races will again be screened live and uninterrupted on ITV4. Race one begins at 12 noon, Race two 14.35 and the final race of the day is at 17.00
