UAN wish to congratulate...

2 stalwarts of the automotive industry who have clocked up an incredible length of service to TMD. This is their story in their own words...

Richard Gleghorn

Started with Mintex Ltd in September 1969 in both Purchasing and then OE Sales, before moving to Tipton as an Aftermarket Sales Rep, and then to Stoke in 1979 as Depot Manager. He then moved to West London in 1983, has held

various positions within Aftermarket Sales, and is currently UK Sales Manager – Car Products.
As everyone else in the industry, Richard has seen plenty of change across his 45 years with the company. Having said that, he’s adamant that some things never change – he remembers his old boss from Tipton who said ‘selling isn’t about brake pads & brake shoes, it’s about people’ –and isn’t it so true.
A keen ex-footballer from definitely the lower leagues, Richard’s always followed Huddersfield Town, and he’s adamant that that will never change, despite advice from all points of the compass. Besides a keen general interest in football, Richard plays squash (amended rules) and crown green bowls (getting worse rather than better, as the years go by).

Chris Sessions

Started in July 1967 as a Commercial Apprentice, and soon joined the Aftermarket Division, where he’s held numerous positions, and is now Sales Administration Manager, responsible for pricing, rebates and all things related to ‘getting it right first time’.

Chris is a keen caravanner and is looking forward to being able to spend more time in it following his recent house move.
