
Celebrates 75 Years of Business
WIX Filters celebrated its 75 year anniversary last weekend, Friday 1st – 3rd August, starting with a team celebration at their Northamptonshire based head office, followed by a weekend of celebration at the BTCC at Snetterton Race Circuit with WIX Racing.

The celebration commenced on Friday 1st August with a team briefing from Managing Director, Wayne Stevens, who reiterated the heritage of the company before presenting each staff member with a personalised memento to recognise their contribution to the company. The company celebrated with a UK inspired traditional Fish and Chips lunch in the sunshine following the presentation. Every Affinia facility did the same around the globe this Friday.
Round 6 of the BTCC took place at Snetterton Race circuit, 2nd – 3rd August, where the 75 year anniversary celebration would continue. The weekend started with two practice sessions followed by qualifying on the Saturday, with Adam Morgan qualifying 8th. Sunday, race day, consisted of 3 rounds of the BTCC with Adam gaining some fantastic results, some of his best this season. Adam finished a respectable 4th place in the first round gaining himself some excellent championship points as well as some Jack Sears trophy points. Adam then went on to finish 5th in round 2 and 8th in round 3. The team were delighted with his performance along with the continued improvement on the Mercedes A class’s performance.

For the Snetterton round of the BTCC, the livery of the WIX Racing Mercedes A Class was adapted to incorporate the WIX 75 year old logo. Adam’s usual number, 33 which was his first number he was issued when he started karting years ago, was replaced with number 75 to furthermore promote the anniversary celebrations. Along with this, the WIX Racing promotional team handed out 75 goodie bags at the Pit Lane walkabout and autograph session, to the first 75 people who visited the WIX Racing Pit garage. We also gave away 75 WIX retro design baseball caps and more via the social media platforms to involve everyone connected or supporting WIX.


The hospitality suite also displayed the WIX 75 year logo in place of the WIX Filters logo along with a large banner displaying the evolution of WIX Filters and some imagery of old machinery and advertising. Every guest to the WIX Racing hospitality received a selection of 75 year anniversary gifts including a mug, branded sweets and more.
The weekend was a huge success for the WIX team, incorporating employees, the race team, customers and the WIX racing fans, in the celebration of WIX Filters 75th anniversary.
