HEAD NORTH TO KNOCKHILL FOR ROUND 7 OF THE BTCC
The WIX Racing Team and Adam Morgan are in action at Knockhill this weekend (23/24 August) in good shape to secure another set of top 10 results. Adam and the team have been in scintillating form over the last three Championship rounds and the WIX Racing Mercedes A Class has been developed into a real front runner.
“The cars handling is absolutely spot on” says Adam “For a little circuit Knockhill has it all, steep elevations, fast flowing corners and one of the tightest, slowest corners of all the tracks that we visit. Qualifying is paramount as it’s so narrow and bumpy but, I usually go well there so am hoping for some decent results”
Norman Burgess Commercial and Marketing Manager “Adam goes really well around this track. It’s a driver’s circuit and that suits his all-out aggressive driving style, we are confident that his first podium of the year is just around the corner. It’s all about qualifying at Knockhill as it’s difficult to overtake at the front of the pack”. Norman continued “It’s been a busy couple of weeks for the team. Adam was at Blyton Race track last week as the Chief Instructor for Ginetta on its ‘want to race’ scholarship and the team’s engineer and mechanics have been preparing the WIX Racing A Class Mercedes.”
Adam goes into round 7 of the British Touring Car Championship currently 10th in the Drivers’ Championship and 6th in the Independents Trophy. The WIX Racing team is 7th in the Teams Championship and 5th in the Independent’s Team Trophy.
The action gets underway at Knockhill on Saturday with two free practice sessions followed by qualifying at 15.05. There are three races on Sunday all screened live on ITV 4 at 11.45, 14.15 and 17.05.
