NEW QUALITY REMANUFACTURING INFORMATION LEAFLET

Remy Automotive the UK’s leading automotive parts remanufacturer, has announced that, as a result of strong trade demand, it has introduced a new leaflet specifically designed to help garages to fully understand what constitutes a true quality remanufactured product.

In full colour – and with simple to follow explanations – the new A4 four page leaflet has been designed to highlight exactly what constitutes quality remanufacturing. The front page covers the processes necessary to create a true quality remanufactured product. The next three pages examine each of Remy’s three key remanufactured product areas – rotating electrics (pictured), brake calipers and steering racks, pumps and EPS columns with a clear visual explaining precisely what constitutes quality in each area.

“Our recent research has proved conclusively that the UK Aftermarket does not fully understand what is involved in creating a quality remanufactured product”, says Michael Flensborg, Sales & Marketing Director of Remy Automotive UK Ltd, “and therefore finds it difficult to explain the additional costs involved to individual customers.

“There is a big education gap in the market in understanding exactly what parts are replaced and what is re-used as well as the precise testing and inspection process. This is why we needed to produce this leaflet to help garages understand exactly what goes in to a quality remanufactured product – and why it therefore costs a little more.

“Some still believe it is just reconditioned, that a part is stripped down and put back together again. Others believe that only the casing is re-used and that all of the electrical parts are replaced. We wanted to dispel all the myths and show how quality remanufacturing must be done properly and professionally.”

The new Remy quality remanufacturing leaflet is now available free through any local Remy stockist or by contacting [email protected].
