Launches coated brake discs range

Apec Braking has launched a new range of coated brake discs.

Where other coated discs are simply sprayed all over, Apec ensures the braking surfaces of its discs are masked off before the coating is applied. This prevents any coating contaminating the brake pads, potentially reducing braking efficiency and the pads’ service life.

Besides safeguarding braking surfaces, other key differences include :

• Protection where it matters; on the disc hub and edges where rust normally appears, the Apec discs are treated with a specially formulated coating that provides long-lasting protection. The black coating also matches the appearance of many OE discs.
• Quality manufacture; like all Apec Braking discs, the coated range uses high quality steel and precision manufacturing to ensure uniform disc thickness and hardness, and prevent warping
Apec’s wide range of coated discs matches OE applications and even includes extra part numbers where the original fitment wasn’t coated. So with Apec coated discs, motorists have more opportunities to benefit from discs that not only perform well, but also stay looking good.
