"Runner up" in IAAF supplier of excellence awards

Sovereign Rotating Machines has been named 'runner up' in the passenger car parts Supplier of Excellence awards at the IAAF Annual Awards Dinner, narrowly losing out to NGK Spark Plugs.

The richly deserved accolade comes at the end of a very busy year for Sovereign, which has seen the company launch a new range of window regulators and wiper motors, in addition to growing its range of rotating electrics by more than 700 applications.

In 2015, Sovereign is committed to extending its range of coil packs and pulleys, along with the introduction of a new website, new marketing portal, new customer support initiative and the further strengthening of both the internal and external sales teams.

Sovereign were also one of five nominees for the commercial vehicle supplier of the year award.

Richard Welland, Sovereign Managing director added: "Firstly, congratulations to NGK Spark Plugs, who are worthy winners of this award and congratulations to Autoparts for winning the distributor of the year award. For ourselves, this achievement demonstrates the scope and opportunity that our tie-up with global business WAIglobal has brought to Sovereign and its customers."

Kevin Sharp, Sovereign sales director, added: "With even greater resources available to Sovereign, we're ideally placed to work closely with customers to grow their sales of rotating electrics and introduce new products such as window regulators, designed to add a new revenue stream into the independent aftermarket."
