Their journey over the last 6 days!

The journey is nearly over for the boys, not long left now until they reach their own beds and home comforts. And what an amazing journey it has been.

Totalling so far 1,114,00 steps.

Day 22 and 31km walked- 45,000 steps as they ventured through the village seing Pilgrims and other amazing sites to pass into Villafranco to reach the next gateway for their mountain climb, after a long 31km they safely arrived in Las Herrerias. "We can do the millionth step tomorrow! and Breakfast at the bermuda triangle"

Day 23 saw the boys take their millionth step as they climed over 2,000ft "it was damn hard and Breakfast awaited us, coffee and chocolate cake, well that is all they had!". They finally reached the summit at 1270m Altitude and managed to see through the fog some great pilgirm statues.

Day 24 the boys woke from a great nights sleep ready to walk 24km, they spent most of the walk in the forest enjoying each others company and surroundings. "Having walked 700 km already we stop the urge to point out people’s new boots and new backpacks ! Splitters ! That’s our code for newbies. Well it’s keeps us laughing".

Day 25 A great night was had by all last night as they made some new friends from Canada, "the house swap has been organised". Up at 6.15am and alreadt completed 8km by 8.20am.

Day 26 Today was an easy 28km stroll stopping for breakfast along the way. "We passed through a gorgeous village and nicknamed the bridge ‘splitters bridge’. Well that’s our humour". It looks like the boys again have their own room for the night.

Day 27 6.30am start feeling positive with a 27km walk planned across paths, streams and woods. The sun came out to play today and made things a struggle but as usual nothing would stop the boys. "The day took its toll. It we arrived at our albergue. A room of 8. Let’s hope the snorers go somewhere else".
