To coincide with an across-the-board upgrading of its ‘TransFlow’ Commercial Vehicle engine oils, Comma has introduced a digitally watermarked label on all packs and products in the range.

This unique initiative means that through the use of most smartphones or tablets equipped with the free ‘Clic2c’ app, a quick and simple scan of a genuine ‘TransFlow’ label will link the phone/tablet to Comma’s quality confirmation page, assuring the legitimacy of the product as well as giving immediate access to the comprehensive ‘TransFlow’ product and application areas.

“The product piracy and forgery that besets the aftermarket has undermined the authenticity of too many brands for too long,” says Comma Sales & Marketing Director, Mike Bewsey. “Distributors and technicians need the assurance that what they are buying and fitting is the legitimate, genuine article. We have drawn on the integrity of digital technology to embed a watermark in all ‘TransFlow’ product labelling, and give our customers and end users instant confidence that they have been sold a genuine Comma product. This latest initiative goes hand-in-hand with our unique product quality guarantee which applies to every Comma recommended application.”

Once the app is installed, simply hold the smartphone or tablet at a distance of 5-15cm above the invisible watermark embedded into the right hand side of the TransFlow label, and you will be taken directly to the Comma website.
