Tamworth Branch receives business award.

A company which was only set up just over 15 months ago has won a prestigious local award in the Tamworth Business and Community Awards 2015. The awards were announced on October 2, and business founder and co-owner Sean Turner was astonished and delighted when the company, Commercial Components won the Trades Business of the Year Award.

“It was amazing to win this award so soon. I guess the judges gave it to us because the business has actually being doing really well, pretty much since day one. In fact our turnover has consistently grown since we started and we made a reasonable profit in our first year of trading, which can’t be bad. It’s been hard work of course, but that was always going to be the case. It’s just great to see all that work paying off, and being recognised. I’d like to thank everyone involved for all their efforts. It is all about teamwork and that has been the essential part of driving this business forward over the past fifteen months.”

Sean continues: “Basically I have been in the commercial parts sector since I was sixteen, when I started working for the family business. That was fantastic training, but a change in circumstances led me to re-evaluate my career path and so I decided to set up on my own last year.
Commercial Components decision to expand to their operation into the Midlands area. So we set up this jointly owned operation here in Tamworth, and it’s been all guns blazing since then.”

Commercial Components, is a fantastic name for the business, because it describes exactly what the company does. Commercial Components group which operates out of the business’s head office and original outlet based in Southampton, with additional operations in Portsmouth and Poole.

“Business is all about relationships, and that’s what we have been building on for the past year and a bit. I think that the recognition we just received in terms of the Tamworth Business Awards comes from us working hard to become a valuable trading partner for the Commercial Vehicle community here in the town and around the North Midlands. People buy from people, and that is the core of what we do here. We work hard to make sure our customers know we are good, reliable and helpful. That’s what makes the difference.”

Congratulations to the team at Commercial Components Tamworth who were recently awarded Trades Business of the year 2015.

UAN Managing Director, Phil Dodd commented, "Well done to Sean and the team at Tamworth Commercial Components - it's a fantastic achievement".
