Beverley Motor Factors Ltd is this month celebrating 20 years in business, supplying quality parts to the motor trade.
Established in 1993, the firm provides a huge range of products across the whole motor parts spectrum, from alternators to wiper blades, and for every make of vehicle.
Operating a "one-stop" shop from its warehouse in Beverley, the company covers all areas of the East Riding with its fleet of delivery vans being seen out on the county's roads on a daily basis – Market Weighton, Pocklington, Driffield, Bridlington, Hornsea and Holderness all receive a minimum of four deliveries a day, some areas have six. In Beverley itself, deliveries are sent out within 15 minutes of the order.
Beverley Motor Factors offers only premier products, with its suppliers being some of the best in the after-market. They include Apec (braking), Motaquip (filters), Gates (timing belt kits and belts), Kilen (coil springs and shockers), Firstline (steering and suspension, bearings, cooling), NGK (plugs and glow plugs).
Like its suppliers, the company's success is based on an absolute commitment to providing consistently high levels of quality, service and support to the independent motor trade.
John Franklin, owner of Beverley Motor Factors, said, "Beverley Motor Factors is a member of the United Aftermarket Network Ltd, a buying group for the automotive aftermarket.
"Its aim is to provide its members with the best possible purchasing terms from OE quality suppliers through its "bulk" buying power. It means we can compete with any national chain even though we are a single independent motor factor."
Beverley born and bred, John, assisted in the business by his wife, Kerrie, a fellow director and company secretary, said, "I am very proud to achieve 20 years of trading. The team has worked well together and concentrated on creating a great business. Even though the business is always looking for new customers, my priority, as always, is looking after my existing customers. I aim to continue giving them a good old-fashioned personal service."
John jokingly says he was slim, good-looking and had a full crop of hair when he started out in business. “Look what the motor trade has done to me – now I'm only good looking," he laughed.
John thanked all his customers for their business and support over the past 20 years, and also his staff who, he says, are all brilliant. "They have all been here years, I can't get rid of any of them, they won't go," joked John.
