The first phase of a new programme of replacement Lambda Sensors has been launched by DENSO Aftermarket Sales UK, part of one of the world’s largest OEM parts suppliers DENSO Corporation. 

“This launch is timely for our customers in a number of ways,” says Paul Payne, manager, DENSO Aftermarket Sales UK.  “With Euro 5 and 6 due to set ever more stringent exhaust emissions standards, vehicle emission control systems – including Lambda Sensors – will become increasingly important.  In addition older Euro vehicles are of an age where sensor replacement is increasing.”

  DENSO’s new programme, launched at September’s Automechanika, offers DENSO’s own, unique OE technology A,F and Planar A,F (linear type) sensors.  Universal and Direct Fit technologies also available include O2, Planar O2 (Unheated and Heated) sensors (switching type), Lean Burn and Titania sensors.  The first phase offers around 140 part numbers focusing on Asian applications, covering around 15% of the European car parc.  Initially DENSO is introducing 75 of these parts covering 187 applications across two vehicle manufacturers.

The introduction adds to DENSO’s existing OE quality parts programmes for the aftermarket, which already include Cabin Air Filters, Air Conditioning Compressors & Condensers, Spark Plugs, Glow Plugs, Wiper Blades, Starters & Alternators and Diesel Components such as fuel pumps.
