TTC launch it's electronic ordering facility via TecCom

If you are running MAM software (or any other PACT enabled system), then by simply supplying your TTC Regional Sales Manager with the supplier code for TTC from within your system, TTC will do the rest, thus enabling you to do stock availability and price enquiries plus place orders directly from within your own business system.

Benefits to the customer are:

  • Ability to place availability enquiries direct from their business system and receive a response within 2-3 seconds
o Can give end user a instant response without having to end the call, place a call to TTC and then call the end user back
o Do not have to wait in a queue on the telephone
o Do not have to leave the screen to log into the e-commerce site and then search for the product
  • Will know what price they will be charged if order is placed that day
o Allows customer to accurately price to their end user customer
    o Reduction of invoice queries
    o Surcharges included
o SNP / Promotional price for day is the price shown
  • Ability to place stock orders direct from their business system and receive a response within 2-3 seconds
o Secures stock - no waiting to call in / response from sent faxes
o Ensures correct parts are ordered (No mistyped parts by TTC)
o Surcharges / Associated parts will be auto added
  • Confirmation of supersession’s / Kit / Surcharges
o If the part being enquired on is superseded a message will be sent back to the customers system along with the last part number in the chain along with availability of that part
o If a associated part is to be sent ( e.g. Fitting Kit for Airbags )
o If there is a surcharge
o If the product is unavailable but cannot be back ordered ( e.g. DFS Parts – Status F )
  • Available for use 24-7
o Customers who have premises open on the weekend can place orders and receive confirmations back outside of TTC office hours

It is important to note that orders can only be placed on the customers default delivery route and delivery address and as this is purely an electronic transaction there is no ‘human intervention’ . Orders placed this way are similar to the e-commerce site with the customer placing the order and the pick-note printing in the NDC.
If you wish to have this facility, please contact your TTC Regional Sales Manager.
