Staff at Newport based automotive business Fast Parts Wales Ltd will be taking part in a Skydive to raise money for Ty Hafan, the family hospice for young lives.

The brave employees doing the dive are Steve Jones (Abercarn sales manager), Robert Thomas (Abercarn shop floor manager), Marcus Williams (Abercarn parts advisor) and Daniel Morris.

Fast Parts staff will be promoting the event to its customer base of independent garages and local motorists. Donations can be made direct to Ty Hafan via the fund raising page: www.virginmoneygiving.com/fastpartswales

UAN has donated £500 to this very worthwhile cause, and would like to wish the skydivers the very best of luck, and hope that they enjoy the experience.

The dive takes place on 24 August at Skydive Swansea, Swansea Airport and is part of an ongoing campaign by Fast Parts to raise money for the charity.

For example, the company donates £10 to Ty Hafan for every person that attends a training session at its new technical training centre in Abercarn.
Nathan Travis, Fast Parts general manager, said: “This is a remarkable attempt by Fast Parts staff to raise awareness of Ty Hafan. The Ty Hafan Hospice has really touched the hearts of everyone at Fast Parts and staff are always exploring new avenues to raise funds for this great cause. Steve, Robert, Marcus & Daniel will need as much support as possible and so we encourage everyone to dig deep and make a donation.”

The dive takes place on 24 August at Skydive Swansea, Swansea Airport and is part of an on-going campaign by Fast Parts to raise money for the charity.

Ty Hafan offers comfort, care and support for life-limited children and young people and is dedicated to improving the quality of life for the whole family. This comfort and support extends out of the hospice and reaches right into the heart of the family home, and is completely free of charge to the families in Wales who need it.

With life-limited children and young people, care is often given over a number of years. Ty Hafan offers short break care to give families desperately needed time-out, which can include accommodation for any family member that wants to stay over. Ty Hafan also provides relief and support outside the hospice, at home and in the community to ensure that each child has a comprehensive care programme.
