Febi UK has launched an awareness initiative aimed directly at workshops.

Based on the concept of ‘a giant sample case on wheels’ Febi’s seven metre long van is packed full of products commonly perceived to be available from the dealer only. Within the last 12 months, the van has been visiting workshops all over the country to demonstrate the breadth and quality of Febi’s product range.

This awareness scheme, which is available to all UAN members, ensures that factors and workshops are familiarised with the extensive product range on offer in the aftermarket. Ultimately, this means increasing sales of higher margin products and gaining ground on the dealer.

Gary Taylor, UK Sales Manager at Febi, is proud of the success: “At first people are reluctant to take the time out and look at what we have got to offer, but afterwards they all find it a positive educational experience.” On average, the van visits 6 workshops per day, where staff have the opportunity to see and feel a selection of the Febi range. The van is a perfect medium to keep factors and their customers up-to-date in a fast moving market.

Phil Dodd, Managing Director of Melksham Motor Spares, is impressed by the mobile sample case: “Febi's huge range of products have filled a massive gap in the aftermarket for motor factors to compete against the main dealers.  Every motor factor can sell service parts, but the product that is available from Febi has added real growth to our business with our existing customers. The objective for us is to sell more product to our own customers and stop the customer going to the main dealer. Febi has allowed us to do that.”
