
Federal-Mogul’s premium braking brand is introducing several programme developments including a new website, mobile app and re-designed packaging
Federal-Mogul is refreshing its Ferodo® braking brand in the UK with major programme developments. This includes a new website to centralise information and improve user navigation, a mobile phone application to increase access to Ferodo’s catalogue information, and re-designed packaging.
“Our aim is to reinforce Ferodo as a premium OE-quality manufacturer in the aftermarket and better meet the requirements of our customers,” said Jonathan Allen, Federal-Mogul’s regional marketing manager. “We want to make working with Ferodo products as easy as possible, hence our brand promise ‘You’re in Control’. Time is a valuable commodity for our customers and our all-encompassing support programme will help them to work more efficiently, from identifying the correct product all the way through to fitment.”
The www.ferodo.com website has been re-developed to make it easier to navigate and to amalgamate all of the technical tips, marketing support, catalogue data, product news and sell through programmes into one place. It also features a part-finder application and a cross referencing function that allows the user to enter a competitor’s reference number to identify the Ferodo equivalent product. The website will automatically adapt to whatever device is being used, whether it be a smartphone, tablet or computer, ensuring the information is easy to read.
The new Ferodo mobile application allows users to identify the correct friction part for any light vehicle by accessing Ferodo’s live database, which covers 99% of the European car parc, direct from their smartphones. The application is available in 18 different languages and features cross-reference lookups and part number searches accompanied by technical drawings.
