FORD HEATER CONTROL VALVE
First Line is synonymous with many product groups, but cooling is a particular specialism, which is why it prides itself on bringing new components, such as its new Ford heater control valve assembly, into its range as quickly as possible.
This common part, which is fitted to many Ford vehicles, such as Ka, Fiesta and Transit, is prone to failure and the usual symptoms are that the heating system is either stuck blowing out hot or cold air, without the ability to regulate it.
Generally the reasons for the failure can be attributed to corrosion to its internal components or contamination within the cooling system, but the end result is that the valve gets stuck in one position.
First Line’s replacement heater control valve is the simplest solution to the problem as all it requires of the technician is to replace the entire assembly with the new valve, designated FHV100. However, First Line recommends that the engine coolant is flushed and replaced and that the other cooling system components are checked before its installation.
Applications for FHV100 include Ford Ka 1996-2008, StreetKa and SportKa 2003-2005, Fiesta IV 1995-2002, Puma 1997-2002, Courier 1996-2002, Transit IV 1995-2000, Transit V 2000-2006 and Mazda 121 1997-2003.
