In addition to a vast range of quality products, many of which break new ground in terms of their supply into the independent sector, First Line is also introducing a number of fitting tools to help technicians install replacement components correctly and in the most efficient manor.

The latest addition FLST100 is a fitting tool for the rear trailing arm bushes (FSK7360 and FSK7361) on the Mk IV Ford Mondeo, a product that First Line was the first to introduce into the independent supply chain in June this year.

With the aid of the tool, a technician can save up to three hours on the replacement fitting process when changing both left and right bushes because there is no need to disconnect or open any brake pipes, so the bleeding of the brakes that was previously required is no longer necessary. In fact as the tool also dispenses with the need to remove the hub from the arm or disturb the brake calliper, technicians do not even need to remove the road wheel!

Commenting on the addition of the tool Malcolm White, the company’s product director said: “First Line is in the business of supplying its customers with high quality products that they can rely on with the service support they need. So the introduction of a tool that both speeds the fitting process and ensures that the component is correctly installed is totally in keeping with the ethos of the business.”

In addition to the Ford Mondeo Mk IV, the tool can also be used on the Galaxy 2006 to 2010 and S-Max 2006 to 2013, as well as the Volvo S60 II, S70 III and the V60 2010 onwards.
