Autoparts hosted a hugely successful Trade Show on Thursday 19th September at the GTG Training Centre, Glasgow.

UAN suppliers joined Garage Equipment and Tooling/Bodyshop suppliers to exhibit to over 700 customers who attended the event. The theme, “A Day at the Races” was in evidence throughout the venue, with staff dressed up appropriately as Jockeys, Tic Tac men etc


The show was divided into three sections to make it easier to navigate around the event: Vehicle Components, Garage Equipment and Tooling & Bodyshop. Also part of the night was a trip to the Albion Centre and see the huge warehouse that accommodates the stock required to maintain Autoparts on a daily basis.


Phil Dodd, MD of UAN, attended the event and commented, “This was the biggest show of its type that I have attended. We were delighted to be able to assist Autoparts in the planning and execution of such an event, utilising the skills and experience of our very own Sally Nightingale to help ensure it all went without a hitch. Congratulations to all involved”

Competitions featured across all three halls where Vehicle Technicians were invited to pit their skills against each other, including the fastest ‘wheel change”, the fastest ‘tyre change’, the quickest timed lap on a Play Station Three car racing challenge, with the customer recording the best time taking the PS3 home.

In total £25,000 worth of prizes were up for grabs, which included winning drives on performance Mercedes and Lamboughghini cars as well as one customer being presented with a “Car for a Year” by UAN MD Phil Dodd. Large tool cabinets were also won as well as numerous prizes on stand competitions supplied by the exhibitors.
