Motor Factors Group branch manager Satbir Giany (pictured) has been awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours. Giany, only 36 and a father of three, has been a voluntary police officer since 1989 and is a Chief Special Constable for the Hampshire Special Constabulary. He spends on average close to 100 hours a month in charge of 400 officers, dealing with 999 emergency calls and anti-social behaviour. The Salisbury branch manager’s 20-year career with the police has run in parallel with his career in the motor trade. He told United: “I am greatly honoured by the award and the recognition it gives for the work I and others provide as special constables.” Motor Factors Group Managing Director, Stephen Horner, added: “Everyone at the company is delighted for Satbir, who rightly deserves his MBE and recognition for his services as a voluntary police officer. The time he dedicates to the police, in addition to his full time role at Motor Factors Group, makes the achievement even more remarkable.”
