The UK’s leading brake friction manufacturer Mintex has launched a state of the art on-line catalogue,

including a comprehensive vehicle registration (VRM) look up tool for the UK and Eire as well as an advanced filtering system to aid in identification of the correct part first time for any vehicle. Where this is not possible, a comparison tool is available to show differences between brake options to ease identification issues even further.

Commenting on the new easy to use catalogue, Simon Bradley Marketing Manager enthuses; “The system has taken nearly a year to develop and trial, but with constructive feedback from customers we are now in a position to launch it to the market. Data accuracy and eliminating options is the key focus of the catalogue and where we still have options, the comparison tool is there as an extra back-up in the identification of Mintex braking components”.

The full Mintex product portfolio is included within the catalogue and is regularly updated with vehicle applications making it one of the most comprehensive catalogue systems in the market.

Bradley continues; “We have developed it in such a way that you will find the answer to your query on a single screen 99% of the time, therefore the navigation of the system is at its simplest form, multi screens can not only be confusing but highly frustrating too”.

An additional benefit of the Mintex VRM is that it is completely FREE to users whether that is an official member or a garage/public user. This is seen very much as one of the main customer support tools going forward and part of the on-going Mintex customer service package.

A part search function is available with results showing an outline diagram complete with part number, dimensions, application details and cross reference search results. This provides as many answers as possible to fully answer a single query – complete back up you have identified the correct part.

In addition to the state of the art on line catalogue, Mintex have - of course - still released the traditional paper version of the catalogue and Simon adds: “We know all our customers are different and at various levels as far as technology is concerned. There is still a requirement for paper catalogues, and although we obviously can’t update them as regularly as the on-line catalogue, they still prove a valuable tool in motor factors throughout the UK.”

The catalogue can be found at www.mintex.com, then simply select the English / UK from the drop down tab in the right hand corner and it brings up the VRM screen instantly – this is available to ALL users, however, to become a registered user which will provide VIN numbers and complete chassis and vehicle details please speak with a Mintex Area Sales Manager or alternatively e-mail James Addy on [email protected]
