Blackburn College have recently spent £5.5 million on a new Regional Automotive Technology Hub devoted to car engineering.

The new state-of-the-art £5.5million Motor Vehicle Centre opened in August 2014. It includes the latest equipment and technology to deliver the skills the motor industry needs in the 21st Century.

This new £5.5 million motor vehicle facilities provide students with the perfect real-life conditions to practice your skills, including:

Real life workshop conditions including a real life MOT lane
State of the art teaching facilities and classrooms
Industry trained professionals
One of the largest providers of motor vehicle training in the region
Over 20 industry trained tutors and technicians

Blackburn College recently held a “Network evening”. The event was a great success with over 100 people attending including, UAN distributor Moffatts Motor Factors, several parts suppliers as well as students. 

The event comprised of a tour of the facility, supplier exhibitors and guest speakers from Delphi and Gates.
