NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd is making two new spark plugs available to distributors and garage customers.

As original equipment, these spark plugs are also supplied to the Volkswagen Audi Group to guarantee efficient ignition in some of the car manufacturer’s engines.

Spark plug PFR8S8EG is a double platinum spark plug which the VW/Audi Group uses for approximately 20 different vehicle applications.

In addition to its platinum centre and ground electrodes, it features a ground electrode made of a special resilient alloy to provide excellent ignition on-board the Audi A4 Quattro (3.0 litre, 245kW), Audi A6 3.0 TFSI and TFSI Quattro (3.0 litre, 213/220kW), Audi A8 3.0 TFSI Quattro (3.0 litre, 245kW) and the VW Touareg 3.0 Hybrid (3.0 litre, 245KW).

Spark plug IZFR6P7 comes with an iridium tip on the centre electrode and a platinum chip worked into the ground electrode.

Since 2009 it has been installed in more than 20 TSI models from VW/Audi, Seat and Skoda, including the Audi A1 and A3 (1.2 litre, 63/77kW), the Seat Leon 1.2 (7 kW), the Golf 6 (1.2 litre, 63/77kW) and the Touran (1.2 litre, 77kW).
