NGK Spark Plugs Ltd has won a top industry accolade for the third time.
The supplier of OE spark plugs, glow plugs and NTK Lambda sensors has been named the Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation’s (IAAF) 2011 Supplier of the Year.
Brian Childs, Deputy Managing Director of NGK Spark Plugs Ltd, said: “It is a great achievement for the company to win such a prestigious award. The IAAF’s Supplier of the Year award is one of the industry’s major accolades and to have been successful for a third time is testament to the hard work of everyone involved at NGK. I would like to thank all of our staff for their efforts over the past 12 months and also all of our loyal customers who have supported us over this period.”
IAAF Chief Executive Brian Spratt said: “The Supplier of the Year category is always very hotly contested and it is a major achievement for NGK Spark Plugs Ltd to win it once again. The judges felt that NGK is a company whose work in the automotive aftermarket should be emulated by others.”
The company was presented with the prestigious award at the IAAF’s annual dinner at the Hilton Metropole Hotel, Birmingham, where more than 530 guests were entertained by anecdotes from racing driver Perry McCarthy, the original STIG on TV’s Top Gear programme.
At the event, Brian Childs and Kaz Hasegawa, Managing Director, NGK Spark Plugs Ltd, presented a cheque for more than £9000 to Peter Cottle, Head of Business Development for the motor industry charity BEN. The company had raised the cash at a number of events over the past 12 months.
