The latest advances in Gasket Technology

The latest advances in gasket technology come naturally from Payen® and their green colouring is not the only thing which sets them apart.

Payen’s latest high-performing gasket technology is called Coriuseal™, and the gasket is a distinctive green colour to show technicians they can go ahead and remove it quickly and easily when it’s time to replace it. That’s because Coriuseal™ has a PTFE coating.

This not only helps to reduce gasket fretting for a more reliable, longer lasting seal, but also makes it easier to remove, as it doesn’t stick to the engine block. And it won’t leave a residue to compromise the fitting of the new gasket either.

Designed to provide a seal from the moment the engine is started, Coriuseal™ gaskets have a soft surface coating which prevents gas blowing past the bore into the cooling system right from start-up.

Introduced alongside Coriuseal™ is Coriusim™, which is a SIM1™ impregnated gasket designed to help minimise bore distortion, reduce oil consumption and optimize the performance of the piston.

Its capacity to be readily cured means it creates an optimum seal on rough surfaces where other gaskets might not seal so effectively.
