It is infuriating to lose or misplace your tools, but it can so easily be done in a workshop. Inspection lamps are one tool that often seems to go missing. Many mechanics up and down the country have happily waved off a customer that has collected their car, to then suddenly realise they left the inspection lamp on the engine bay or under a wheel arch.
To help solve this problem Ring has given two of its bestselling inspection lamps a hi-vis make over. The RIL2550 and RIL2900 now come in a fluorescent orange casing so that it can easily be spotted in dark areas.
The RIL2550HV retains many of the features of the RIL2550
The 15 super bright LEDs provide 650 lux of light for 5 hours continuous use.
The NiMH battery will recharge within 4 hours.
It has a hook/stand for multi positional use allowing the light to be positioned exactly where required.
A further additional feature to the RIL2550HV are magnets on the base of the stand allowing for hands free working.
The RIL2900HV is made to the same tough impact resistant specification of the RIL2900, making it the toughest lamp in the ring range.
The 21 super bright LEDs provide 900 lux of light output for 4 hours of continuous use.
The NiMH battery will recharge within 4 hours.
As well as being impact resistant the RIL2900HV is IP65 weatherproof, making it ideal for use in outdoor situations.
Included is a charging station for convenient storage and easy recharging.
A further additional feature is the provision of an optional lens protector to prevent scratching to lens that can impair the light output.
Bhavesh Mistry – Product Manager for Ring Automotive says “we have long been asked by mechanics to produce lamps that are bright and contrasts greatly with the workings of a vehicle. With these two Hi-Vis lamps, mechanics should always be able to find their inspection lamps even in dark areas. No more will motorists drive off unknowingly taking with them the garage inspection lamp.”
