Business Secured By Supporting The Independent

TecAlliance and their four core businesses, TecDoc, TecRMI, TecCom and Headline have been thrilled with the success the company has had while at Automechanika Birmingham. The stand 11J43 was a hub for the company to meet new businesses and meet new prospects, which ensures wholesalers are able to identify and supply workshops with the right part, first time, visitors were also able to look through TecRMI, which shows it is not just wholesales but all customers who need to identify parts through this system.

TecAlliance displayed the different systems at the stand, which ensured that the visitors would receive a demonstration from the staff, helping them to understand the different systems and experience it themselves. In addition to the globally recognised TecDoc CATALOG electronic parts catalogue system, which ensures wholesalers are able to identify and supply workshops with the right part, first time, visitors were also able to look through TecRMI, which ensures technicians have access to the latest service and repair knowledge and technical data required to compete in the market. Alongside TecDoc and TecRMI was TecCom, which allows businesses to fully benefit from the efficiency gains of effective electronic trading.

TecAlliance also hosted two seminars on Wednesday and Thursday, discussing the different companies under one umbrella and the ways in which the companies fit within each other and the benefits of each one.

The first seminar was held in the Technical Theatre, which was sponsored by TecRMI and organised by autotechnician, with David Winter, executive vice president customer management, who discussed ‘Technical service and repair data’, as due to the pace of change that is affecting every system within the modern motor vehicle, workshops need reliable and informative technical service and repair data in order to overcome the challenges that this developing technology presents.

The following day, Shaun Greasley, general manager of TecAlliance UK, gave a seminar on ‘Supporting the independent’ in the Aftermarket Theatre, which examined the structure of the company and how the systems are the solution to independent workshops. Access to this data ensures factors can source and supply workshops with the right part, first time, which is fundamental to the success of the independent repair sector.

Shaun Greasley was delighted with the business the company had at Automechanika Birmingham: “It’s been a massive success, exactly the sort of event the UK aftermarket needed and we at TecAlliance have cemented existing business relationships while securing new ones.

“The seminars allowed us to engage with the audience and explain what TecAlliance and the group companies can do for the industry.”
