The stunning looking WIX racing BTTC car created a huge reaction from fans as it took its place on the grid of the final stage of this year’s championship at Brands Hatch.

WIX filters teamed up with BTCC star Rob Austin in a deal that is hoped will run into the 2013 season. As soon as the striking livery of the car was revealed, which is based on the American WIX NASCAR, die-hard fans of the series went wild on twitter and facebook proclaiming the WIX racing Audi A4 as the best looking car on the grid by far.

The association between the WIX brand and motorsport is one that dates back some 40 years and originates in the USA. Wayne Stevens, Sales and Marketing Director of WIX in the UK comments that, “We were overwhelmed by the reaction to the WIX car from our UK customers and fans of the touring car series. Being involved with racing has provided us with a fantastic platform to promote and underline the pedigree of the WIX brand and its racing heritage which has been the key to longevity and success of WIX in the US.” Naturally the car was fitted with WIX oil and fuel filters for the race day and Rob Austin, driver of the WIX racing Audi A4 had a pretty successful days racing, overtaking and beating Jason Plato, one of the favourites for the championship, in the last race in very wet conditions on the day.
