Moseley Rugby Club is delighted to announce a partnership with the country’s leading automotive parts buying group - United Aftermarket Network (UAN).

The sponsorship deal supports Moseley’s newly restructured Youth & Development initiative and provides team wear for the new Under 20s side as well as both team wear and match shirts for the Under 18s.

The company are advocates of the power of youth sport to engage young people. Subsequently UAN recognised Moseley’s youth development programme as the type of ambitious activity that they wished to be associated with and help to ensure its success.
Headquartered in Sutton Coldfield, UAN currently sponsor Leeds Rhinos’ Danny Maguire (a product of the club’s youth system) and last season sponsored Rob Burrow in his testimonial year. The partnership with Moseley is UAN’s first involvement in rugby union.
UAN Managing Director Phil Dodd said:

“UAN firmly believe in and recognise that an effective youth system is vital to long term success. This partnership will allow us to develop our relationship with Moseley Rugby Club and support their ambitious plans for the renowned Moseley Youth & Development programme.
From a business perspective we have a strong presence in the Midlands with an established network of distributor members in Birmingham and the surrounding areas. This sponsorship arrangement is a great way to help raise the profile of not only our group, but our individual members’ businesses as well”
Simon Bartlett, Moseley Youth & Development Manager said:

“We are delighted that UAN has selected Moseley and recognise and support our restructure of the Youth Development programme during last summer. UAN are fully behind our long term plan to develop and produce talented players for the Moseley First XV.
The support of UAN will allow both Moseley’s Youth Development squads to benefit from new match day kit, helping to promote a standardised appearance across the section and making the teams instantly recognisable”.

About Moseley Youth Development Programme

Moseley Rugby Club’s Youth and Development Section undertook a major restructuring in the summer of 2012 with the introduction of an Under 20s Development team.

The club’s Youth and Development section now mirrors the player development pathways at County, Divisional and National levels as identified by the RFU. This provides a dedicated route for progression to the club’s 1st XV who participate in the RFU Championship (England’s 2nd tier – one below the Aviva Premiership).

The primary focus remains to develop young players so that they achieve their maximum playing potential and boost the already successful programme of providing 1st XV players that have come through the previous 'Moseley Colts' route.
The support structures to enable this have been put in place including enhanced coaching, dedicated physiotherapy support, nutrition, strength & conditioning advice and regular 1:1 mentoring.

Ambitious and talented players between the ages of 16 and 19 are invited to contact the club.

Regular games against top RFU Academies, County sides and Varsity teams, will examine your skills, attitude and courage to their utmost.
